Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most common questions about Wiqaya VPN.
General
What is a VPN?
A VPN (virtual private network) creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and a server. Websites see the server's address instead of yours, and nobody on your network can read your traffic.
Is it legal to use a VPN?
In the vast majority of countries, yes. Some countries restrict or ban VPNs, so check before you travel. A VPN never makes an illegal activity legal.
Do you keep my browsing history?
No. We don't keep the sites you visit, your DNS requests or the content of your traffic. See our privacy policy.
Which devices does Wiqaya VPN work on?
Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows and Mac. The same subscription works on all of them.
Account and payment
How can I pay?
By card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller, which also takes care of VAT.
Does my subscription renew automatically?
Yes, at the end of each period, so you're never cut off. You can cancel anytime from your customer area; the service continues until the end of the paid period.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. If Wiqaya VPN isn't right for you, ask for a refund within 30 days of your first purchase.
I lost my activation key
It's in the email you received after buying, and in your customer area. Otherwise, write to us from the email address you used to pay.
Using the app
Does a VPN slow down my connection?
A little, because data takes a detour through the server and is encrypted. With a nearby server, the difference is usually barely noticeable.
How do I change country?
In the app, tap the server name and choose another country from the list.
The app won't connect. What should I do?
Check that your internet works without the VPN, try another server, then restart the app. If the problem continues, write to support.
